Business Analyst / Project Management / £40,000 - 45,000 per annum / 12-month fixed term contract, Portsmouth

Access IT Recruitment are working with a global organisation who are leaders in the risk & information sector.

They're currently seeking a Business Analyst, ideally with an understanding of new product development and execution, assessing, capturing and documenting requirements, and supporting the communication and delivery of those requirements within the business. You will be involved in product solutions from concept to grave. This is a data heavy role where you will be working with large amounts of complex data on a daily basis, therefore an analytical mindset is required.

The Role

As Business Analyst you will work closely with the market vertical, product management and a cross-functional team including technology and analytics. You will be responsible for the definition and successful implementation of new product solutions and enhancements to existing product solutions. Also providing business analysis to other programmes and projects as required.

Responsible for capturing and translating business and technology needs and use cases into requirements for new or existing project/product solutions, including managing the on-going development and evolution of these requirements through development, testing and launch.

Experience Required

  • Strong Business Analysis skills with experience of process mapping, requirements gathering & definition

  • Ability to write business requirement documents including overall solution, data definition, process flow, supplier interfaces and management reports

  • Project Management experience e.g. Prince2, APM (Nice to have)

  • Some exposure with full product development from requirements capture through to handover within the product management life-cycle (Nice to have)

  • Due to the nature of the position, experience working in either the insurance or financial sector would be an advantage

This position is for an initial 12-month period on a fixed term contract with the potential for extension, or to be made permanent.

The organisation also operates a flexible working environment where there is the option of occasional remote working which is at the managers discretion.

Core working hours are 9.00am - 5.00pm however there is 'flexi hours' where you are able to work extra days off to gain more annual leave.
