DevOps Engineer

DevOps Engineer – Sheffield/Remote – eCommerce – 3months

I am looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to work on a 3 month contract for my eCommerce client based in Sheffield. They want to adopt a DevOps culture within their business but they are right at the beginning of their journey. They need someone who can advise about best practices when it come to automating their CI/CD pipeline for their eCommerce platform. In many ways it is a blank canvas as none of these processes are place. They know where they want to be, but they need you to show them the way.

Responsibilities

To use Docker to package up the production version of the application

To advice and implement a code effective CI/CD pipeline

To configure, automate and maintain our Kubernetes infrastructure

To provide a solution for monitoring, debugging, dashboards and alerts

To write the necessary tests and pipelines to ensure reliability of deployments

and quality of code

To define the processes the team must follow for quality, testing and

deployment

Technologies you will be experienced with

Docker and Kubernetes

Node.js and linux containers

Scaling and securing web applications with Kubernetes

CI/CD solutions
