I'm looking for an Information Rights and Security Specialist for a government client. This role is a 12 month contract and falls outside IR35.
You will need active SC clearance to be eligible for this role.
You will be responsible for managing and maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data and information assets, through definition, implementation and maintenance of information policies and operational controls.
You can be based from either Manchester or Bistole with travel required to team sites in Manchester, Bristol and Birmingham. You may be required to travel to these sites up to 2-3 times per week depending on base location.
Experience leading provision of information rights & information security management systems in accordance with accepted legislative or industry best practice requirements.
Experience providing and maintaining sufficient management systems and leading resources to prevent, detect, respond to and mitigate information security threats to prevent loss of confidentiality, integrity or availability of information assets.
Experience of delivery of policies, processes and systems to manage the continuity of information services and the recovery of information systems
Experience of coordinating cyber security arrangements with the UK Government Security Services, including GCHQ and CPNI.
Knowledge and experience of Record of Processing Activities (RoPA) requirement
Experience of ongoing management and review of Information Sharing agreements
Knowledge and experience of the Freedom of Information Act
Knowledge and experience of the General Data Protection Act
