Infrastructure Engineer - £28000-£35000 - Windows Server - Vitualisation - Lincoln
Access Consulting are working with a Major Public Sector organization who are looking for two Infrastructure Engineers to join their team in Lincoln. One role will be focused on more BAU work, the other being focused on more project work which involves the occasional bit of travelling. Both roles would suit someone who is from a field support back ground.
Are your currently part of an infrastructure team, looking to take that next step in your career? Are you keen on developing your existing skill set? Do you already look in to new technologies out of curiosity but cant get formal training? Well both positions come with a formal training budget that the manager will encourage you to use. Well you would also get 28 days holiday plus bank holidays and a yearly pay rise. Development? Annual pay rise and a life outside of work? Sounds pretty good to be fair.
But what would you be doing?
Well that depends what you want to do, do you prefer carrying out BAU work or working on Projects?
Do you understand virtual environments, know how to patch servers, build switches and have a good understanding of backups? If the answer is yes, then either role could be for you.
You will get the chance to plan, install, support and maintain multiple complex technologies including server hardware and software, storage networks, applications, network equipment for the existing and future infrastructure.
You will be working closely with the team manager on planning, project work, risk management and documentation around infrastructure ensuring that all system design and implementation is carried out in line with our agreed standards
This is honestly a great chance for someone to really develop and build a long term career.
If you the technically minded person I need and you would like to know more please do no hesitate to apply.
