Job Description

I am looking for a Technical IT Auditor to work on-site at a large public sector defence organisation in Corsham on an initial 7 month contract.

The role does fall inside IR35, so the successful candidate will need to work through an umbrella company for the duration of the contract.

Due to the nature of the role, SC clearance is needed from the time of application.

Due to the nature of the end client, the successful candidate will have extensive experience in the public sector.

Key Tasks:

  • Establishing and implementing the technical controls required and highlighting any risks that could impact on successful exit and transition, or future delivery.

  • Carrying out in-depth reviews, inspections and audits of all supplier furnished material, including information and assets, in compliance with the specifications and technical descriptions as prescribed in the individual contracts.

  • Co-ordinating and advising on the scope of the inspections and audits.

  • Carrying out reviews of processes and identifying areas that the business should consider for additional investment, and areas requiring an audit focus.

Experience needed:

  • Experience in IT Service Management, in particular Service Transition and Service Operations.

  • Have an in-depth understanding of IT services, service architecture, service readiness and the associated deliverables/outcomes required.

  • Experience in negotiating and influencing at all levels with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Communication skills to communicate information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to translate technical jargon into business related decisions.
