Our client are a leading supplier of manufacturing logistics and consultancy services and are looking for a DevOps Engineer to work on various logistics applications within warehouse management.

Your responsibilities:

  • Drive the optimisation of the development process, including the adoption of new engineering tools and relevant documentation as well as the consolidation of engineering best practices

  • Drive the design and implementation of system deployment and release

  • Strategies working with delivery manager and sysadmin team

  • Work in collaboration with system designers with a focus on deployment and release requirements, service orchestration strategies, system security models and policies

  • Participate in the design and implementation of build & test automation pipelines within our infrastructure

  • Represent the team escalation point for pipeline-specific failures

Required experience:

  • 3+ years commercial experience working full time as a Dev Ops Engineer.

  • Ideally an undergraduate degree in computer science. Or equivalent experience.

  • Designing and implementing systems using containerisation and service orchestration techniques

  • Systems security; defining requirements, designing and implementing policies and control mechanisms

  • Implementing build & test automation pipelines

  • Data backup, restore, and migration strategies

  • Microservices patterns and relevant system observability approaches, as well as system configuration, service discovery and load balancing techniques

  • Agile methodologies


  • Git, Jenkins, Puppet, virtualization technologies, packaging techniques, Kubernetes, Docker, Python, shell scripting.

  • OpenStack and Kubernetes would be a big plus
