I am recruiting for a Service / Interaction Designer to be based in London.
Public sector experience would be preferable but isn't essential. This role does fall outside IR35 so you can work through your own limited company.
You will analyse failure within services and identify root causes for that failure, identify opportunities for cost reduction and improvement within an existing service and also understand user needs and identify where separate interactions with government should act as one service that meet that need.
You must have worked on a couple of projects where you have gained experience as a service designer or systems thinker.
Experience solving design and research challenges through collaboration and user participation is essential.
You will have the ability to translate research insight into opportunities and solutions for service users via the application of design research methods e.g. user journeys, services mapping, prototyping etc.
You will ideally have experience of working directly with front-end code to update prototypes - skills in HTML, CSS and java script aren't essential, but all the designers learn the basics
This role requires you to undertake a basic criminal records check but once onsite you will need to go through SC clearance - you must be eligible for this level.
The deadline for candidate submission is Monday 01/04/19 at 4pm.
