Technical Lead / CTO – eCommerce – Sheffield – Perm – £60,000-£70,000

So picture the scene, you are Senior Developer, responsible for a small team or squad. You love that you get to see them flourish under your tutor-ledge. You also like the fact that you do have a say in your current role but are frustrated your ideas can only go so far. Maybe, you are working at really big organisation and there is just too much red tape to get things signed off. Maybe, you find yourself asking: ‘ what would it be like to work for an organisation where I can shape the direction in which technology moves?’ This could be your answer.

I am working with an eCommerce Business in Sheffield who are wanting to transform their current tech stack. This will still be a hands on role where you will be coding; working with their current tech stack (PHP, MySql); as well as developing the new website which is being built in React and Node. You will be playing a key role in bringing new ideas to the table, regarding technologies and ways of working.

You will still get to look after a small team, playing a key role in their development and building on the existing culture. The red tape is all but gone, you will be working side by side with the CEO so you have a direct line to the top to get your ideas across.

This is for a person with aspirations of becoming a CTO, who wants to develop their skills and business acumen. The long term goal for this position is that the successful person will take on this role having gained the relevant experience through working alongside an experienced CEO.
