3rd Line Support Engineer / £28,000 - 30,000 per annum / Sheffield / 31 Days Holiday


I currently have an opportunity for a 3rd Line Support Engineer to join a growing organisation who invest heavily in their employees. This role offers fantastic career development opportunities and would suit candidates who have a desire to progress into a team leadership position.


What does the job entail?

  • Providing 3rd Line technical assistance to the team, ensuring service and support is provided to customers at agreed levels.

  • Both remote & onsite support as and when required

  • Technical Lead on Windows server and Hypervisor (VMware & Hyper-V)

  • Office 365 support & deployment

  • Level 2,1 end-user troubleshooting when required

  • Taking ownership and development of support delivery tools & applications

  • Working with help-desk manager to develop and improve processes and procedures

  • Working with general manager to improve service offering to customers


Preferred Qualifications

  • MCSA windows server qualification

  • ITIL Foundation

  • Basic networking accreditation's


Desired Experience & Understanding

  • Strong networking topology, best practices and devices

  • Disaster recovery & business continuity

  • Anti-virus, anti-malware & email filtering solutions

  • Office 365

  • SQL

  • Exchange

  • Mail Routing

  • Linux
