Application Support Consultant - SQL - SSRS - Manchester
We are recruiting for a leading Web based application development company, supplying systems to providers of learning, employment, guidance and support services.

As an Application Support Consultant, you will be responsible for providing application support to external customers and assisting them with our web-based software via the telephone, email or our interactive Support website. Additional responsibilities include testing of the software and supporting Microsoft SQL Reports.
The role also requires the successful candidate to gain an excellent knowledge of our customers' business area. We will provide full in-house training and support on the application to ensure you are knowledgeable and comfortable in assisting our customers.
Taking ownership of users' issues, you will ensure that a high level of customer service is delivered at all times. Responding to enquires in an efficient and friendly manner, you will help to resolve practical issues and software problems and refer escalated issues to our software developers whilst still maintaining the running of the support job.
To be considered, should ideally have one or more of the following:
- Experience of supporting software systems
- Customer Service experience, preferably in the I.T industry
- Experience with basic SQL queries
- Experience in writing SSRS reports
- An IT qualification
- Any experience within the Skills Funding Agency arena
As an Application Support Consultant, you should have the ability and desire to rapidly learn and pick up new systems and skills. Methodical and analytical, you must have a keen eye for detail, superb problem solving abilities and be willing to go the extra mile to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction at all times. The ability to manage and prioritise your workload effectively is also key.
The role would also be ideally suited to anyone who has worked for a Skills Funding Agency Training Provider, has a solid understanding of Training Provider programmes and would like to support our customers on the user of their Learner and Funding Management software.
