Job Description

I am currently in the market seeking a Commercial MI Analyst to work for a leading organisation based in Sheffield.

Purpose: Commercial Analyst responsible for ensuring MIS information and data is sufficiently produced, provided and understood within the remits the role is assigned. Commercial analyst is also responsible for supporting and delivering the new enhancing MIS frameworks against the backdrop of the new ERP system undergoing implementation.

The Commercial Analyst will be involved in various projects, adopting various roles to ensure objectives are delivered. The commercial analyst will work with the analytical leads to deliver optimum performance in a changing environment.

Accountabilities

  • Required to engage in various commercial environments, supporting the overall commercial team in developing and delivering improved performance

  • Responsible for managing the commercial reporting work requirements with other project responsibilities

  • Responsible for producing data and system performance reports with solutions for improving business performance

  • Assist in the development and promotion of policy and procedures to colleagues and customers as required

  • Provides data, MIS, IT and administrative support to office and field based staff

  • Understand and evaluate commercial system requirements with current and future Polaris systems

  • Support work packages playing various roles within the PRINCE2 project management structure

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Commercial orientation, the ability to add value, a commercial mind-set

  • Analytical thinking coupled with the ability to innovate and adapt

  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written, the ability to convey information effectively to the business. Concisely and simply.

  • Organisational skills, the ability to meet target and deadlines

  • IT Skills in MS Excel, MS Access, SQL, SSIS, Data Management and report development
