Dynamics AX Support Specialist / Leicestershire / £30,000 - 35,000 per annum

Access IT Recruitment are currently working with a client who are seeking a Dynamics AX Support Specialist.

The organisation has recently implemented AX 2012 and the successful candidate will be heavily involved in the support and continuous improvement of the AX platform alongside other business systems.

Ideally you will have previous Dynamics AX 2012 experience but the client will also consider candidates from a wider ERP Support background.

Role and Responsibilities

  • The Dynamics AX Support Specialist will provide support to the existing implementation of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and other business systems

  • Work on technical help requests as assigned by the IT Manager

  • Continue building knowledge of Dynamics AX and SQL to investigate issues logged and recommend solutions.

  • Contribute to technical support documentation for new users and to build the knowledge base within

  • Assist in the management of support requests to ensure a response is received in the time expected

  • Build and increase knowledge of Dynamics AX on a technical and functional level

  • Promote best practice and delivery of service of the highest quality

  • Identify risks and mitigate or communicate as necessary

  • Represent the business in a professional and positive manner at all times

Ideal attributes

  • Good experience providing technical support for Dynamics AX 2012, implementation experience desirable

  • Good knowledge of SQL Server and Dynamics / AX data structures including creating queries to analyse data

  • Previous experience of working in a support environment

  • Strong understanding of core processes and functionality for at least one of finance, trade and logistics, manufacturing or retail

  • Knowledge / experience of Life-cycle Services / deployment methodology

  • Experience of creating/modifying SSRS reports
