Job Description

I'm recruitng for a PMO to work closely with the Head of Programme Management to structure the Programme providing a full range with PMO Support

Your main purpose is:

Project Management Officer and Planning support for the IT Projects Programme. Work closely with the Head of Programme Management to structure and run the Programme providing a full range of PMO support. The Programme oversees the delivery of all IT related projects within IT - infrastructure, applications, devices, organisation and governance

Roles Responsible For:


Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Establish and promote best practice in health, safety and environmental matters in conjunction with the SHQE department.
  • Support the Head of Programme Management and other members of the Programme to:
    • Ad-hoc and scheduled liaison with project Stakeholders and Team members;
    • Ensure project governance is met;
  • Proactively manage the action pad;
  • Track and manage risks and issues;
  • Maintain the RAID documentation;
  • Maintain logs for product management and lessons learned;
  • Set-up regular Programme status updates and meetings - the Programme "drumbeat";
  • Take clear & precise meeting minutes;

  • Help with stakeholder mapping;
  • Help prepare communications;
  • Help develop and maintain the Programme plan and dependencies;
  • The creation, maintenance and monitoring of project plans;
  • Update the plan to reschedule work and highlight slippage against tasks/milestones;

  • Set-up and maintain the Programme/Project document library;
  • Develop common documentation & templates;
  • Maintain project filing structure and ensure version control of documents;
  • Ensure the appropriate document and change control processes;

  • Work with Head of Programme Management to oversee running of each of the Projects;
  • Identify additional resourcing requirements and assist in obtaining;
  • Provide assistance on Project Mandate and Project Brief reviews, including fleshing out where necessary;
  • Ad hoc activities as required by Head of Programme Management;
  • Assist Project Managers to maintain budget tracking and resource forecasts;
  • Benefits Realisation (assist with tracking);

Note: In addition to these functions personnel are required to carry out such other duties as may be reasonably required in order to support the objectives of the Group/Company/ Region/Division.





APM/Prince2 Foundation

ITIL Foundation Certificate

Full Clean Driving Licence





Previous PMO experience

Previous experience of duties defined in "Key Responsibilities and Duties section"

Good MS Office, MS Project and MS Visio experience
