Job Description

I am currently recruiting for a Risk Framework Manager to work on a 6 month contract based in Derby. The role is to work for a field leading organisation who are currently embarking on a Large Change project.

Responsibilities

Risk Framework Strategy and Planning

  • Conduct a Health Check on Risk Management and Controls.

  • Define and deliver a Risk Management Framework Strategy to implement and embed an organisation wide solution.

  • Work with the Head of Total Quality Change Management to integrate the Risk Management Framework Strategy with the TQM design and its deliverables.

  • Produce a product breakdown structure and associated milestone plan for all deliverables

  • Define and gain approval for an appropriate Risk Management governance structure that aligns with the broader governance framework.

  • Implement the Risk Management Framework including the associated governance, processes, procedures, templates and documentation underpinned by risk management metrics, measures and information flows that are relevant.

  • Identify, compare and evaluate suitable options for a Risk Management toolset making recommendations on the preferred solution.

  • Develop Risk Management policies, processes and work instructions to meet statutory and regulatory requirements.

  • Define and implement a risk management change control mechanism that delegates and escalates risks as required across the business.

  • Establish a Risk Management structure centred on the functionality of the selected Risk Management toolset.

  • Design and implement training for all those roles that fall within the Risk Management Framework that is appropriate to their level of responsibility.

Strategic Risk

  • Define a Risk Category Structure for strategic risk that encompasses the enabling functions of Finance, People Development, Marketing and Quality.

  • Work with functional leads to identify, evaluate, plan and manage the underlying strategic risk content and establish ownership at the appropriate level.

  • Enter all collected risk data into the Risk Management Toolset and establish and embed appropriate risk management metrics, measures and sensors.

Operational Risk

  • Define a Risk Category Structure for operational risk Work with operational leads to identify, evaluate, plan and manage the underlying operational risk content as follows:

  • Central Operations risk.

  • Regional and Area Operations risk.

  • Establish ownership at the appropriate level.

  • Enter all collected risk data into the Risk Management Toolset and establish and embed appropriate risk management metrics, measures and sensors.

Programme Risk

  • Define a Risk Category Structure for programme risk that encompasses the Good to Great Programme and all Business As Usual Change activity.

  • Work with project and change management leads to identify, evaluate, plan and manage the underlying programme risk content and establish ownership at the appropriate level.

  • Enter all collected risk data into the Risk Management Toolset and establish and embed appropriate risk management metrics, measures and sensors.
