Job Description

I am currently in the market seeking a Technical Analyst to work for a leading organisation based in Milton Keynes.

As Tech Analyst you will act as a member of the Group IT Service team in running all activities across IT solutions provision, maintenance and monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • To act as part of a team in the provision of IT solutions for Group and Local IT areas, and to administer, maintain and monitor all provided systems as and where it is required.

  • To document policies, processes and procedures as and when required

  • To provide input and advice within a number of areas, both operationally and technically.

  • To provide an effective IT service to customers as and where required.

  • To provide technical assistance where appropriate.

Experienced Required

The role holder must be able to demonstrate most of the following skills and competencies.

  • Good and demonstrable experience of working within an IT Services environment

  • Strong experience with Microsoft System Centre Operations Manager (or comparable experience with other monitoring systems)

  • Experience of developing robust and fit-for-use system maintenance plans and procedures.

  • Experience of networking technologies and protocols - LAN/WAN/VOIP/SIP/SSH/HTTPS etc.

  • Telephony infrastructure experience within a call-centre environment - Cisco Callmanager/Avaya and Aspect Unified IP.

  • Other call-centre technologies - IVR scripting, Workforce Management, Aspect ALM, Quality Management.

  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft fundamentals - Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS etc.

  • Operating knowledge of all server hardware and software platforms including virtualisation - Windows Server, Linux, VMWare, Hyper-V

  • Knowledge of user-end IT hardware and software.

  • The ability to work efficiently, effectively and use own initiative.

  • The ability to work as part of a team.

  • The ability to work to tight Service Level Agreements and deadlines.

  • IT literate with a knowledge of Microsoft Technologies including Windows 7, Office Products.

  • Demonstrable experience of working within a project team and delivering solutions
