I am recruiting a Technical Support Eningeer to play a key role within the Technical Operations Team. Essentially, this is going to be about the delivery of systems support and the maintenance of the IT back office systems and infrastructure.
There are three areas where you will be able to add value to this role: -
All back office systems and applications infrastructure.
All desktop computing hardware and applications.
Telephony (device management policies and management software).
This isn't just a BAU role and tyou will be responsible for driving change in the next few years. A keen interest, in the following areas, will mean you really enjoy this role: -
Infrastructure - more effective monitoring of resource usage to allow for proactive delivery, which could include SaaS, PaaS and shared service hosting models.
Information Security - To address changing business requirements for data usage, storage and protection.
Support - reviewing documentation and processes to develop a thorough incident management process.
The core technical skills for this role are as follows: -
Strong working knowledge of Information Security principles and technologies
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft software solutions such as Active Directory, Office 2016 and 365
Excellent understanding of desktop, laptop and mobile (phone handsets and tablets) hardware and how to manage these devices effectively in an enterprise
Experience of administering 3rd party hosted solutions (PAAS, SAAS, Azure, AWS, Office365, Exchange On-line)
